Meet little miss Disney, a beautiful red merle tricolor Mini Aussie (Miniature American Shepherd, not technically an Aussie, but still a very similar breed). She is honestly a mini Skye, she is so loyal, sweet, with just a little crazy sprinkled in. She LOVES her people, like, a lot! She goes crazy when my husband comes home, even if he was only gone for a few minutes. If she even hears his truck pull up, she’s doing donuts until he walks in the door. This girl loves unconditionally, and when she’s calm, she’s a very laid back little lady. She has an incredible disposition and attitude. Not the biggest fan of strangers, she doesn’t love meeting new people so she tends to just stick near us, but “if dad says you’re okay, I guess you can stay.”
Medium Drive - Loyal - Active - SmallDisney is a perfect sized dog for someone that wants all of the Aussie personality without the full standard Aussie Size. Standing at only 16 inches at the shoulder and 23lbs soaking wet, we often scoop this girl up and carry her around like a baby, just for fun. She stands up on my husbands shoulders when he picks her up like she belongs there. Mini Aussies are the perfect size for smaller households or apartments, while still making the perfect cuddle buddy, and when we go out she’s an eager walk or hiking partner. She also is an incredible jumper, and her floaty trot makes me think her future pups would make fantastic show prospects. Only time will tell, but we are so excited to see miss Disney become a momma one day!
