Aloe Mojo JojoRegistries - AKC Standard Australian ShepherdThe first question everyone asks us when they meet Mojo is “What is he mixed with?” This boy lacks the standard white muzzle and markings typical Aussies have, and since this boy has almost entirely no white (only a small white spot on his chest), people think there’s no way he’s just Australian Shepherd. But he’s pure Aussie, through and through! DNA results and AKC lineage to back it. Selective breeding has removed the chrome from his body leaving an almost solid colored pup that we are so in love with.
Mojo is the one of the foundation dogs for our new project of no-white Aussies, which is something we absolutely adore the look of and are very excited to produce ourselves. This special boy took a plane flight all the way from North Carolina to join us here in California and we couldn’t be happier with his addition to our Aussie Family.
Low/Medium Drive - Gentle - GoofballMojo is on the smaller side for a standard Aussie but may still get a bit heavier/taller with time. His jet black body and rich copper points, paired with his long fur like a mane across his back, this boy is absolutely breathtaking. His marbled eyes are also so unique, with one being almost entirely blue with small brown patches, and one mostly brown with a few blue patches.
At first, I was so sad when his eyes changed colors after we brought him home. I initially got him thinking he would keep the solid icy blue eyes he had as a puppy. As he’s gotten older, instead, I’ve become obsessed with the variation he developed. Along with his amazing temperament, patience and willingness to learn, his physical looks really are just the frosting on the cake. Goes to show you that puppies will always surprise you, no matter how many you raise! And even if a puppy isn’t exactly what you were looking for, they may turn out to be one of your favorite dogs in the end
