Standard Australian ShepherdMeet Roscoe! This big guy is a silly, goofball of a dog. On top of being absolutely stunning to look at, he has an amazing personality. Photography wise though, Roscoe likes to make my life difficult. In person, he is perfect, with his thick dark red fur and piercing blue eyes, he is so handsome. But somehow, every picture I take he’s making a weird face. Maybe it’s his goofy nature, anytime a phone comes out, he loves to hold his ears in weird directions, and sit down and stare at you like a haunted Victorian child. Despite his lack of photo skills, Roscoe is a phenomenal dog, who is and always has been great with every person, dog, cat, chicken, or goat he has met. He even doubled as a protector of my chickens and goats against nighttime rat food thieves!
Low/Medium Drive - Gentle - GoofballWhen not protecting his livestock friends, he is a gentle soul, who loves to give his all to his people. Roscoe’s favorite pastime is standing up on his hind legs and leaning all of his weight onto you, giving you the gentlest version of a hug a dog can muster. He loves to be pet and give all the kisses he can if you let him.
As of 2025, Roscoe has been retired from our breeding program after giving us 4 litters of beautiful puppies, but he isn’t done yet! Roscoe has since moved onto another project with another breeder, where he will be producing Doodle puppies that will have amazing jobs doing military veteran emotional support. With his amazing temperament and absolute love for people, we can only imagine how amazing his future puppies will do in their roles.
